Ashgrove Avenue
Ashgrove Avenue was called Serpentine Road until the 1920's and 1930's when it was changed to Three Mile Scrub Road. In 1921 the original Ashgrove State School was too small for growing enrolments.
The original St Finbarrs was a wooden church built in 1921.
Grantuly House became a secondary school after St Finbarr's church and school was built in 1921. It was known as Grantuly College until 1941 when it was relocated to a new building nearby. The new college was named Mt St Michael's.
