School Pool Improved and Mrs C Remembers.

In 1989 the swimming pool grandstands and filtration system were improved.
Ashgrove State School was the first school in Queensland to have a computer lab which included 15 computers.
Our school library used to be where the year 3 classrooms are now.
Mrs C Remembers...
In book week the blow up dino in the dino display got kidnapped and then sent ransom letters.They gave him Tim Tams so they could get the dino back.
The boys toilets used to be where the Creative Skills Centre is at the moment. In 1989 there were 440 students at Ashgrove State School. There is a big tree near the Year 2 playground called the tree of Knowledge. The biggest change Mrs C has seen is that there are more buildings and less play space.
In July 1989 Charles John Herse became Principal of Ashgrove State School. He remained Principal until December 1998.
NINTENDO GAMEBOY
In about 1989 the ORIGINAL nintendo gameboy was released.
